Andy Wynne

Andy Wynne is from the United Kingdom and brings his extensive experience of public sector audit and financial management to the idilmat Capacity Development Network. He is an experienced trainer having trained as a teacher. He developed a post-graduate public financial management course by distance learning for the School of Oriental & African Studies, London University. Andy has also been a trainer on courses organised by the World Bank Institute and the European Commission. Mr. Wynne was responsible for the public sector in ACCA's Technical Department for seven years. He is currently working with Lagos State Government, Nigeria, on improving budget preparation. He is the editor of the International Journal of Governmental Financial Management and the ABWA Journal for accountants in West Africa. He also assisted the African Development Bank and the World Bank to finalise their joint strategy on support to Supreme Audit Institutions across Africa. Andy is a member of the AFROSAI-E Technical Committee. He is also working with the International Budget Partnership and the Commonwealth Secretariat.
